Sex Therapy in Ottawa and Ontario
A supportive space to explore sexuality, intimacy, and your relationship with your body
Talking about sex and sexuality isn't always easy.
You may be struggling with something you'd like to change, but feel embarrassed, unsure where to start, or worried about being judged.
Sex therapy offers a confidential, non-judgmental space to talk openly about your concerns and better understand what you're experiencing.
Sex therapy isn't only for people who have experienced trauma. You may seek support because you're experiencing changes in desire, difficulty with arousal or orgasm, sexual anxiety, intimacy difficulties, or simply want to better understand your sexuality.

You might be experiencing...

Low or changing sexual desire

What we can explore together
Sexuality is personal, and there isn't one “normal” way to experience it.
Therapy can provide space to explore your experiences, understand what may be getting in the way, and develop a relationship with sexuality that feels more comfortable and authentic to you.
Depending on your needs, we may explore:
-
Desire, arousal, and orgasm
-
Sexual confidence and self-esteem
-
Shame, anxiety, or fear around sex
-
Body image and body connection
-
Boundaries and communicating your needs
-
Intimacy and emotional connection
-
Feeling present and comfortable during sexual experiences
-
The impact of past experiences or trauma around sexuality

A trauma-informed approach
For some people, concerns around sexuality are connected to past experiences of trauma, abuse, or relationships that didn't feel safe.
If this is part of your experience, we can explore those connections gently and at your pace.
My approach integrates EMDR and IFS/parts work when appropriate, while keeping your goals and comfort at the centre of our work.

What sex therapy looks like
Sex therapy is mostly talk therapy.
Sessions take place in a professional, confidential setting, and there is no sexual contact or sexual activity during therapy.
You decide what you are comfortable discussing and sharing.

You don't have to figure it out alone
Sexual concerns can sometimes feel difficult to talk about, but you deserve a space where you can ask questions without judgment.
We can start wherever you are, whether you have a specific concern you'd like to address or simply want to better understand your relationship with sexuality.
